Meditation
OSHO TIMES January 2008
Donna has been reviewing English OSHO books and their Dutch translations for morethan ten years. A full-time schoolteacher, she usually spends her long yearly breaks meditating at the OSHO International Meditation Resort.
I love being in this atmosphere. It’s like coming home again.
In this meditative and
supportive place I get so much new energy to continue with my work and my own
meditation in the West.
In Holland, there is a program called OshoRadio, broadcast on a regional radio station on Thursday evenings. A portion of an Osho
audio discourse is played, and afterwards I
read Osho book reports, interspersed with
songs from Osho Music CDs. I review every
new Osho book that is produced in English
and every new Dutch translation produced
by Osho Publikaties. The program is put on
a website, so people all over the world can
listen at any time. We receive enthusiastic
responses from listeners everywhere!
In English I’ve reviewed The Wisdom of the Sands, an Osho classic, the beautiful new edition with a cover design showing sand running through the hands, Osho’s own Nine Sutras, the Zen Tarot handbook, The Path of the Mystic and The Path of Meditation. This last book has already been available for a few years – but meditation is
so central in Osho’s vision that you can’t talk about it enough.
I also give courses and individual sessions based on Osho’s Zen Tarot; these are available as correspondence courses via the internet as well.
How does it feel to be here this time around?
Most of the time I come to stay for a few months, but this year I had only two weeks
available. Even in this short amount of time, it surprises me how great it feels. I tell people,“You can hear about the Meditation Resort, you can read the OSHO Times – which is amustfor me every month to stay connected –but you have to come and feel it. It’s a priceless
gift to yourself.” And everybody who comes agrees.
